Died: March 10, 1917, New­port, Mon­mouth­shire, Eng­land.

Pierpoint grad­u­at­ed from Queen’s Coll­ege, Cam­bridge Un­i­ver­si­ty (1857), and lat­er taught class­ics at Som­er­set­shire Coll­ege. He lived at Bab­bi­combe, De­von­shire, and else­where. His works in­clude:

The Chal­ice of Na­ture and Other Po­ems (un­dat­ed, but re­is­sued in 1878 as Songs of Love, the Chal­ice of Na­ture, and Ly­ra Je­su)
